The Emporia High boys basketball team came home from the Ralph Miller Classic with a third place finish after out scoring Soldan of St. Louis 66-57 Saturday in the 3rd place game.
The Spartans held a 13-9 lead after the first quarter and never trailed the rest of the game. Their biggest lead was by 12 points in the 4th quarter.
All 5 starters scored in double-figures led by Charles Snyder with 17 points. Skyler Douglas added 15 points, Hunter Hines finished with 12, Connor Hoyt scored 11 points and Beau Baumgardner finished with 10 points.
With the win the Emporia High boys are 6-5. They return to action February 4th at Highland Park.
