The Osage City Police Department is using the theft of an SUV during Sunday church services to remind residents not to leave their vehicles unlocked with ignition keys inside them.
The department says a red 2016 Ford Escape was stolen from the west parking lot at Osage City Methodist Church between 9:30 and 10:40 am Sunday. This happened after an unknown person or people rummaged through a second unlocked vehicle in the parking lot.
Suspect descriptions have not been announced.
