A decision is coming soon as the USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education chooses a new superintendent for the district.
Board members met for around two hours in executive session Thursday, discussing their thoughts on the four finalists who interviewed over the past two weeks: USD 109 Republic County Superintendent Michael Couch, USD 114 RIverside Superintendent Robert Blair, USD 371 Montezuma and USD 476 Copeland Superintendent Jay Zehr and Olpe High Principal Shane Clark. No decision was announced after the meeting.
The tentative plan is to have a meeting soon for additional discussion, and there is a chance the board could announce its choice at that meeting. The date and time for that meeting are currently pending.
