A heads-up for those of you who use Amazon: there is a scam trying to get to your personal information.
The Chase County Sheriff’s Office says scammers will send you an email account saying your Amazon account is locked because several unauthorized devices have been detected. Scammers will then tell you the account was locked as a protective measure before sending you to an allegedly secure link to confirm your account information.
The emails now look more and more like legitimate correspondence, but you’re still advised to delete them and reach out to Amazon if you have any concerns.
