Lyon County deputies say an Emporia woman suffered minor injuries but still received medical care after a crash near Admire on Friday night.
Deputy Brandon Early says 30-year-old Chasity Seiple was southbound on Kansas Highway 99 in the 3000 block, five miles south of Admire and 12 miles north of Emporia, when the crash happened around 6 pm. Seiple’s SUV went off the highway into the west ditch. It then came back onto the highway before it overturned and landed on the passenger side in the east ditch.
Emporia Fire took Seiple to Newman Regional Health afterward. Deputies suspect minor injuries. Seiple was wearing her seatbelt when the crash happened.
It’s currently unclear why Seiple went off K-99 in the first place.
