Light snow and a thin glaze of ice are possible for the KVOE listening area, meaning winter weather advisories that stretch across most of Tuesday and Wednesday.
There are currently three separate advisories for the area. Lyon, Morris and Wabaunsee counties are covered between 9 am Tuesday and 6 am Wednesday, while Coffey and Osage counties are under an alert from 9 am Tuesday to 6 pm Wednesday. Chase and Greenwood counties are in yet another advisory from 6 am Tuesday to 6 am Wednesday.
Several rounds of light snow and freezing drizzle are expected. Up to 2 inches of total snow accumulation are possible, with ice totals ranging from a thin glaze to 0.10 inches before the winter storm moves away.
