The Emporia High girls rolled to a 59-27 win over Highland Park. Highland Park won the boys game 65-48.
The Emporia High girls jumped out to a 15-2 lead and Coach Carolyn Dorseys team never looked back.
Gracie Gilpin scored a team high 17 points making 4 three point baskets. Mya Tovar finished with 13 points. The Lady Spartans held Highland Park to 28 percent shooting and shot 58% from the field and made 9 three point baskets.
The Emporia High boys trailed 20-12 at the end of the first quarter and Coach Beau Welchs team never did catch up.
The Spartans were led in scoring by Skyler Douglas with 16 points. Charles Snyder added 15 points.
The Emporia High girls and boys play at Topeka Seaman Thursday.
