The Emporia State softball team picked up two wins Saturday at the Alvy Early Classic in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The Lady Hornets shutout Quincy 3-0. Brittany Shepard drove in 2 of the runs. Cassidy Beem also drove in a run. Sydney Righi was the winning pitcher giving up no runs on 8 hits with 3 strikeouts.
They Emporia State softball team out scored Henderson State 15-4.
Gabby Biondo was 5 for 5 with 4 runs scored and 3 RBI. Hannah Steeby also drove in 3 runs and scored 3 runs.
With the wins the Lady Hornet softball team is now 4-3 for the season. They are scheduled to play Harding and Southwest Baptist Sunday.
