Upgrades to the DeBauge Family Sports Complex will take center stage at the Emporia Recreation Commission board meeting Monday evening.
Back in August, the Rec Commission board discussed installing a flume, or a device that uses flowing water to transport dirt and other materials from one spot to another, as a way to offset flood-related damage after extremely heavy rainfall earlier in the year. The drainage flume may be approved Monday.
In other business, the board may approve optional group life insurance for KPERS-qualified staff. Policy updates and reports are also planned.
The meeting starts at 5:30 pm at the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
