The Emporia State softball team wrapped up play in the Alvey Early tournament in Bentonville, Arkansas Sunday.
The Lady Hornets run ruled Harding 9-1. Hannah Steeby hit 2 home runs and finished with 5 RBI. Southwest Baptist scored a run in the bottom of the 7th for a 5-4 win over Emporia State. The Lady Hornets tied the game at 2 with 2 runs in the 2nd inning and tied the game at 4 with 2 runs in the 6th inning.
The Lady Hornets are now 5-4 for the season. They will be hosting a 5 State Classic beginning Friday. They will play Minnesota Duluth in their home opener.
