You can now register for the 2020 Walk Kansas, and for the first time in the event’s history – you can do so online.
Walk Kansas is a team-based program that helps people to lead healthier lives by being more active with friends and family, making better nutrition choices, and walking away your stress. The point of Walk Kansas is to simulate walking through the state by logging your team’s walked miles over the course of the two months.
While the name Walk Kansas may imply walking is the only goal, Emily Prouse of Lyon County Research & Extension says other forms of physical activity are acceptable.
Walking officially begins on Mar. 15 and will continue through May 9. Several themed-events will be offered in that time frame for participants and more information on those events will be released at a later time.
Registration is open, and you can register yourself and your team on walkkansas.org.
