The Emporia High boys basketball team celebrated senior night with a 56-45 win over Topeka Seaman Friday night.
The Spartans never trailed as the seniors led the way. Skyler Douglas scored a team high 16 points. Connor Hoyt added 12, Beau Baumgardner finished with 10 points. Coach Beau Welch said the first half was a big difference.
Junior Charles Snyder finished with 11 points. The Spartans improve to 9-9 on the season.
Topeka Seaman won the girls game 49-28. Coach Carolyn Dorsey was encouraged by the 2nd half.
The Lady Spartans are now 8-10 for the season.
Emporia High plays at Manhattan Tuesday night.
