Emporia High diver Reed Slayden is the 5-1A State Champion for the second year in a row.
Slayden finished in first place with 450 points.
Slayden finished in first place in all of his meets this year. He also broke 3 records. The Emporia High records for 6 and 11 dives and the Centennial League meet record. He is also a 1st team all state selection. As a team Emporia High tied for 25th place. Wichita Independent won the 5-1A State team championship.
