One man will face additional charges after allegedly fleeing from the Lyon County Courthouse on Friday.
Undersheriff John Koelsch says 41-year-old Shannon Drake left the courthouse in handcuffs Friday afternoon. Lyon County District Court says he was at the courthouse for a hearing related to a bench warrant on suspicion of aggravated child endangerment before he broke free from a deputy and left the facility. He was taken into custody Saturday afternoon.
Drake has an arraignment Monday afternoon and will likely face at least one fugitive from justice count as this case continues. He has a separate first appearance Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of methamphetamine distribution.
