Emporia High will be sending 3 bowlers to State.
Kinsey Miller and Maddie Munoz qualified for the girls and Tanner McGuire qualified for the boys at Wednesdays regional tournament.
Kinsey Miller finished in 5th place with a 591 series.
Maddie Munoz finished in 11th place with a 522 series.
Topeka Seaman, Shawnee Heights and Topeka West were the top 3 teams and earned trips to State. As a team Emporia High finished in 5th place.
Tanner McGuire was the lone member of the boys team to qualify for state. He was the last bowler to earn a spot after finishing 18th overall and was the last of the top 6 bowlers not on a qualifying team to earn a trip to state. He finished with a 600 series.
Shawnee Heights won the team championship after winning the tie breaker with Topeka Seaman. DeSoto finished 3rd. As a team Emporia High finished in 5th place.
The 5-1A State Bowling tournament will be held in Wichita March 6th.
