An update on future improvements will take center stage at the USD 253 Board of Education meeting Wednesday night.
Representatives of HTK Architects will provide a “Building for the Future” update as the district prepares to launch a series of upgrades for every school building and construct a new early learning facility. The work will be funded by a nearly $80 million bond approved by local voters last fall.
In addition, the board will discuss the bid results for a Safe and Secure grant to bolster security at school entrances while Walnut Elementary will present a redesign request. Discussions on board policies and two executive sessions are also planned.
The meeting starts at 6 pm at Mary Herbert.
