The Emporia State baseball team completed a 3 game sweep of Missouri Southern with a 10-6 win Sunday.
Southern jumped out to a 5-0 lead with a run in the 2nd and 4 runs in the 3rd inning. Emporia State rallied with 4 runs in the 4th and scored 3 runs in both the 7th and 8th innings for the come from behind win. Coach Seth Wheeler called it a good team win.
Jack Maki was 2 for 2 with 2RBI and scored a run.
Josh Norlin and Tyrus Barclay each drove in 2 runs.
Mason LeClair earned the win in relief tossing 2 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts.
The Hornets improved to 11-6 for the season and 3-0 in MIAA play.
They will host Northwest Missouri State next weekend.
