The Emporia State womens basketball team wrapped up the regular season wit a 97-69 win over Rogers State Saturday.
5 players scored in double-figures including all 3 seniors. Freshman Tre’Zure Jobe was the leading scorer with 20 points.
Junior Daley Handy scored a career high 15 points.
Senior Mollie Mounsey added 18 points, Seniors Morgan Lauden and Jessica Wayne both scored 13 points.
Coach Toby Wynns team finished 15-0 at home.
The Emporia State women improve to 22-6 for the season.
The Lady Hornets will be the number 2 seed at the MIAA Tournament and will play Thursday against either Central Oklahoma or Northwest Missouri State in the 2:15pm game.
Rogers State won the mens game 77-66. It was the final game of the season for the Hornets. Coach Craig Doty was still proud of his team.
Keyon Thomas scored a game high 27 points and finished the season with 335 points as he passed Wes Book and tied Brady Webb for fourth on the Hornets freshman scoring list.
The Hornets finished the season with a 10-18 record.
