(ku/k-state) No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks held off an upset bid from Kansas State, 62-58, Saturday.
Kansas trailed by four points in the second half, but held the Wildcats to just two field goals over the final eight minutes to hold on for the win.
Devon Dotson scored 25 points to lead the Jayhawks. Udoka Azubuike played 20 minutes after suffering an ankle injury.
Kansas State was led by Cartier Diarra with 15 points.
The Jayhawks take over first place in the Big-12 after Baylor lost at TCU.
Kansas will celebrate senior night Wednesday when they host TCU.
Kansas State plays at Oklahoma State Wednesday.
