Another acquisition north of the border for Hopkins Manufacturing.
The Emporia-based company has finalized a deal to acquire Loxcreen Canada, LTD. This brings several name brands under the Hopkins umbrella like PolarGrip, Topsi, Eskimo and Essentia, as well as a wider range of winter ice scrapers and snowbrushes, vehicle cleaning equipment, squeeges and log stackers.
Loxcreen, a subsidiary of M-D Building Products, had assumed these assets as part of an acquisition of RCR International and its subsidiary, WJ Dennis, two years ago.
This continues Hopkins’ recent growth through acquisitions, with nearly 10 companies coming to Hopkins over the past eight years.
Manufacture and distribution of these products will take place at Hopkins’ facility in Blenheim, Ontario, Canada.
