Wabaunsee County authorities are looking for a woman who they say is armed and dangerous.
Amy Jean Roth, 34, did not appear for a sentencing hearing Monday on a felony burglary count. She is also a “person of interest” in an alleged burglary and theft from a house where firearms were taken. Wabaunsee County Sheriff Rob Hoskins is not detailing where that incident took place, saying the incident is still under investigation.
Roth has a prior conviction for theft in Pottawatomie County in 2017, and she is listed as having absconded from custody three times before her release a year ago. The Kansas Department of Corrections lists Roth as a white female, 5-foot-9, nearly 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Residents should not approach if they see Roth. Instead, they should call 911 or the Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office at 785-765-3323.
