The Emporia State softball team begins MIAA play Friday. They will be hosting Pittsburg State.
The Lady Hornets are 12-7 for the season. Outfielder Maddie Broxterman says it has been an encouraging start.
First pitch for the doubleheader is set for 2pm at the Trusler Sports Complex.
