There’s nothing better than a Lions Club biscuits and gravy fundraising breakfast.
That’s the opinion of Lions Club member Jeline Harclerode, a recent guest of KVOE’s Morning Show, who along with the rest of the Lyon’s Club is gearing up for that exact event Saturday morning. The annual fundraiser will be taking place at the Emporia Senior Center from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
Harclerode says this is the club’s major fundraiser which allows them to put on many of the programs and activities the club is known for throughout the year. This includes the planting of redbud trees in the local area, the club’s random acts of kindness event and of course the numerous eye screening events they provide throughout the local community.
Along with all the biscuits and gravy, you can eat Saturday’s menu will also include sausage, a fruit cup and coffee and juice. Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased in advance for $6 for adults or at the door for $7. The cost for children under the age of 10 is $2.50 at the door and in advance.
You can purchase advance tickets through any Lions Club member or by calling 620-343-7275.
