Four area basketball teams now know their state tournament assignments.
The Lebo boys and Olpe girls are both spending time in Dodge City for the Class 1A Tournament starting Wednesday. Lebo, the No. 4-seed, plays fifth-seeded South Central at 8:15 pm Wednesday. Olpe, the No. 3-seed and the third unbeaten team in the bracket, faces No. 6-seed Norwich at 4:45 pm Thursday.
The Burlington boys and Osage City girls are headed to Hutchinson for the Class 3A Tournament. Burlington is the No. 5-seed and will play No. 4-seed Galena at 8:15 pm Wednesday. Osage CIty is the No. 8-seed and will face top-seeded Nemaha Central at 3 pm Thursday.
Country 101.7 FM and KVOE.com will follow the Lebo boys and Olpe girls at the state tournament.
The 5A Tournament will be played at Emporias’ White Auditorium.
The boys play Wednesday.
