After several days of very high to critical fire danger across the area, that particular concern has been shelved for the time being.
Light to moderate rainfall developed Sunday night and may wrap up by late afternoon:

*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.80 inches
*Lake Kahola: 1 inch
Conditions should dry up by evening. More rain is possible Thursday, Friday night and into the weekend.
