South Central out scored Lebo 41-38 in the first round at the 1A tournament in Dodge City Wednesday night.
There were 4 lead changes and 4 ties with most coming in the 4th quarter. Lebo trailed by 9 in the 2nd quarter. Their biggest lead was by 2 in the 4th quarter. Devan McEwen scored 14 points to lead Lebo before fouling out with 4 minutes to play. Lebo Coach Dwayne Paul said that was a big turning point.
South Central was led by Xavier Frazier with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
Lebo finishes their season with a 22-4 record.
At the 3A tournament Galena out scored Burlington 61-54. Burlington finishes with a 18-6 record.
Thursday at the 1A tournament, the Olpe girls play Norwich.
Olpe Coach Jesse Nelson says Norwich offers a big challenge.
Tip-off is set for 4:45p. The game will be broadcast on Country 101.7FM.
At the 3A tournament in Hutchinson the Osage City girls play number 1 seed Nemaha Central.
Osage City Coach Chris Kirkpatrick wants his team to go and compete.

The Kansas State High School Activities Association has announced that all State tournament games will be played as scheduled Thursday and attendance by fans will be allowed.
