Over two weeks after an arrest, formal charges have been filed in a local rape case.
German Diaz, 19, has been formally charged after an alleged incident in January, according to documents provided to KVOE News by Lyon County District Court. The alleged victim in the case was 13 years old.
The affidavit in this case is sealed.
Diaz was arrested early in late February, two weeks after Lyon County Crime Stoppers announced a reward in his case Feb. 11.
Diaz has his first court appearance earlier this week. A preliminary hearing is set for April 13 at 2 pm, with an attorney review hearing slated for March 23 at 1:30 pm.
Bond has been set at $150,000.
