Trial was supposed to start Monday in the case of a robbery suspect, but it never got rolling.
Harold Stewart, the suspect in the Max’s BP convenience store robbery from February 2019, reached a plea agreement Monday — pleading to one count of attempted robbery and another count of conspiracy to commit robbery.
Sentencing is the next step. That is on the docket April 30 at 11 am.
Stewart was supposed to have trial earlier this year, but that ended with a mistrial declared after he grew dissatisfied with defense counsel Steve Atherton and requested a new trial.
