With coronavirus spreading, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment is now mandating quarantines in certain exposure incidents and isolation in others.
KDHE is now mandating a 14-day home quarantine if Kansas residents traveled to a state with known community transmission like California, Florida, New York or Washington state on or after March 15, visited Eagle, Summit, Pitkin or Gunnison prior to or after March 15 traveled on a traditional cruise ship or river cruise on or after March 15, traveled internationally on or after March 15 or received notice from state public health officials they are a close contact of a lab-confirmed case — meaning at least 10 minutes within six feet of somebody who is symptomatic.
Meanwhile, residents under home quarantine are told not to attend school, work or any other setting where they can’t maintain a 6-foot distance from other people.
