Many state employees will go on two weeks of administrative leave starting Monday, and departments have been announcing interim operation plans as a result of Governor Kelly’s executive order to that end Tuesday.
The Department of Revenue wil eliminate walk-in services at its larger offices, only accept scheduled appointments at others and limit the number of people in one spot to 50 as ordered by the governor.
The Department for Aging and Disability Services is restricting all visitors, except those for compassionate care, effective immediately.
The Attorney General’s Office and Kansas Bureau of Investigation are reducing staff for at least two weeks.
The Insurance Department is suspending non-essential operations from Monday through at least April 6.
