Coronavirus has come to the Flint Hills.
Wednesday night, the Morris County Public Health Department reported being notified of two positive tests. The two individuals, who are not being identified at this time, visited several locations in Morris and Chase counties earlier this month:
*Watts Coffee, Council Grove, the mornings of March 12-13
*Ray’s Apple Market, Council Grove, mid-morning March 12
*Life Center, Council Grove, morning March 13
*Twin Lakes Liquor, Council Grove, mid-afternoon March 13
*Ad Astra Restaurant, Strong City, early evening March 13
Morris County Public Information Officer William Kassebaum listed the businesses and times so people who may have been in the same location at the same time and have developed symptoms can be prompted to call their health care provider. Kassebaum says people should call if they have been exposed and have symptoms, including:
*Temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher
*Cough
*Shortness of breath
Residents are also reminded to wash hands often and cover the mouth when coughing or sneezing.
