Lyon County Deputies and Emporia Fire responded to a late morning injury accident on Road 175 10 miles east of Emporia Sunday.
The accident occurred just after 9:30 am in the 1500 block of 175. According to Lyon County Deputies on scene the accident involved a pickup truck and a bicyclist.
Early indications are the cyclist may have been struck by the truck, however, further details are pending as deputies continue their investigation. Traffic was blocked for close to 45 minutes in the vacinity in both directions as deputies and ems responded.
The cyclist was examined on scene, however, it is unclear if the individual was taken to the hospital for further observation at this time.
