Saying “we’re not doing so hot” on social distancing, Lyon County Emergency Communications Director Roxanne Van Gundy urged residents to follow guidelines as outlined by local, state and federal health officials the last several weeks.

Unacast bases its information on so-called change in average mobility as based on distance traveled and change in non-essential visits. It tracks social distancing through a variety of online sources, including the Johns Hopkins information repository that involves Federal Information Processing Standards for document processing, encryption algorithms and other information technology standards.
