While the majority of local churches have chosen to adhere to local guidelines that prohibit large gatherings, such as church services, they have turned to some very unique and engaging ways to continue their interaction with members of the congregation.
For First Congregational Church of Emporia Pastor Howard Cassidy-Moffat, this means moving the services to an online platform, much like others. However; rather than having the broadcast emanate from the church Pastor Howard and his wife, and fellow pastor, Laura Cassidy-Moffat moved the services to their own home.
Pastor Howard explains there were two major reasons behind this relocation of sorts.
Messiah Lutheran Church has decided to expand on their annual Easter Drive-up Service at the Lyon County Fairgrounds. Pastor Eddie Hosch says while it is not quite the same as before, he is glad his congregation still has the opportunity to fellowship together.
