It is now time to mask up.
That’s the guidance from Lyon County Public Health for residents when they are out and about. Public Information Officer Verlin Conkle explained on KVOE’s Newsmaker 3 segment Wednesday:
Conkle says anybody heading out of the home should wear a mask. Face coverings should:
*Fit snugly but comfortably on the side of the face
*Use ties or ear loops
*Include several layers of fabric
*Allow for breathing without restriction
*Be able to be washed without changing shape or damaging the mask
When commenting on the recent stability in COVID-19 cases locally, Conkle warned the numbers are hard to predict because of the overall lack of testing and a number of test results now pending. Lyon County has had one positive test the past four days, but Conkle is encouraging people to stay prepared and do what they can to limit the spread of COVID-19.
