Pandemic preparedness and reaction will highlight the Lyon County Commission’s action session Thursday morning.
Commissioners will formally consider the Flint Hills Community Health Center’s request for an additional $100,000, specifically for running the county’s Emergency Operations Center during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last week, Health Center administrators requested $60,000 to cover prior costs and $40,000 for future expenses.
Also, commissioners will consider purchasing over $50,000 worth of structural steel beams for the Highway Department. Oden Enterprises has the low bid for that expense.
Two executive sessions are planned.
The meeting is at 9am. Residents interested in watching the meeting can go to the county’s Facebook page for the live stream.
