There were a handful of reports after an earthquake in Marion County on Thursday night.
A magnitude 2.8 earthquake hit just southeast of Marion around 8 pm. Light shaking was reported near the epicenter, based on data from the US Geological Survey. Weak shaking was reported in Emporia.
Damage reports are pending.
