USD 252 Southern Lyon County has had its continuous learning plan operating for two weeks now, but that doesn’t mean the district is done trying to improve it.
At the board’s last meeting, Superintendent Mike Argabright said the district’s biggest challenge is balance. He says the district had a pretty good handle on the amount of overall work and the amount of screen time students should have, but now conversations are focusing on what’s best both for students and their households.
Argabright says the district also renewed its licensed staff and reviewed handbooks during the meeting.
At USD 251 North Lyon County, the focus for the board’s last meeting was on summer projects. Interim Superintendent Mike Mathes says repairs at Northern Heights are a key focal point.
The board also approved renovations at North Lyon County Elementary and Middle School in Americus. The total project cost is around $515,000.
