Neither the coronavirus pandemic or slight rainfall could stop churchgoers from joining together to celebrate Easter Sunday morning.
The annual Messiah Lutheran Church drive-in Easter service saw hundreds of vehicles parked out at the Lyon County Fairgrounds to hear the special message from Pastor Eddie Hosch. Hosch began his sermon by wishing all in attendance a very merry. . .Christmas.
Pastor Hosch also took the time to note that this Easter is by far the most unique in recent history due to the adjustments caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However; he stated that while the pandemic has altered everyday life, it cannot and has not altered the faith of Christians around the world.
Hosch concluded the sermon by compelling all to continue to celebrate the day with the same love, compassion and caring that Jesus shared. In total, 160 vehicles were counted in attendance for the special service.
