Just like everyone, the Emporia State University Special Collections and Archives has had to make adjustments because of COVID-19.
The biggest adjustment has been to some of their scheduled events, specifically their open mic night. The open mic is now scheduled to be hosted this coming Friday via Zoom.
Special Collections and Archives Director Rebekah Curry says they are looking for a wide variety of acts, including music, poetry, and even comedy. She was also excited to announce that former Kansas Poet Laureate Kevin Rabas will be performing.
This isn’t the only change though, Curry says since Special Collections and Archives is closed they suggest residents go online to view their exhibits through VR.
