(wsu) Wichita State Coach Gregg Marshall announced the addition of 6 players Wednesday, 3 transfers and 3 freshmen.
Alterique Gilbert a 6-0 senior guard transfer from UConn.
Craig Poter a 6-2 guard transfer from Vincennes where he averaged 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Clarence Jackson a 6-7 forward transfer from Polk. He will be a sophomore.
Jaden Seymour a 6-9 forward from Charlotte, North Carolina.
Chaunce Jenkins a 6-4 guard from Newport News, Virginia
and Ricky Council IV a 6-5 forward from Durham, North Carolina.
Head coach Gregg Marshall frequently used words like “long, athletic and versatile” to describe the group.
“We feel like, as a team, we have gotten more athletic,” Marshall said. “We addressed some immediate needs and also set ourselves up for the future with guys who are just going to get better and better every day. All of them are dynamic talents as well as super young people.”
