The Chase County Sheriff’s Office says enforcement of Governor Laura Kelly’s coronavirus stay-home order is at hand.
Deputies will issue citations to both residents and travelers who violate the order now in place through May 3. Using Chase County State Lake and “other places that have been limited” as examples, the Sheriff’s Office says all people caught violating the order will be cited.
Chase County closed the Chase County State Lake on March 29 as a partnership between county officials and the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
In previous social media posts, the Sheriff’s Office has urged county residents to stay home and travelers to stay out of the county while the coronavirus pandemic continues.
