With oil prices cliff-diving, gas prices haven’t followed suit just yet.
Oil prices for May futures actually went negative Monday with demand coming to a screeching halt across the globe and storage facilities near capacity. June futures were above zero, but West Texas crude ended Monday trading at $16 a barrel and Brent crude ended at $21 a barrel.
As has been the case the last few weeks, Eureka has the lowest gas prices in the area at $1.24 a gallon, according to Gas Buddy. Lyndon has gas at $1.51 a gallon. Lebo’s low price is $1.55 a gallon, while Burlington is at $1.59. Council Grove is at $1.63. New Strawn is at $1.65. Osage County sits at $1.70.
Emporia’s range is from $1.59 to $1.69 a gallon.
