No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle injury accident in central Emporia Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred at the intersection of West Sixth Avenue and Merchant shortly after 3:30 pm. According to Emporia Police on scene a westbound pickup truck ran a red light in the intersection and collided with the passenger side of a northbound SUV.
The SUV suffered significant damage to the passenger side while the pickup suffered damage to the front passenger side. Emporia Police, the Emporia Fire Department and Kansas Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.
