Lyon County Emergency Communications Center is performing maintenance on its system Friday afternoon.
Work began around 2 pm and should last around two hours. LCECC says 911 calls coming to Emporia will be transferred to McPherson County, which will relay information back to Lyon County for law enforcement and emergency responders.
Callers are asked to stay on the line during the maintenance period.
