Holiday Resort has confirmed one of its residents has coronavirus.
Administrator Mike Kerbs says the patient recently came to the facility from Newman Regional Health.
Kerbs says Holiday Resort is in “very close communication” with local and health officials. Staff have restricted visits, canceled all group activities, restricted non-essential personnel presence and told workers to stay home if they are sick. All inside the facility are following public health best practices, including frequent handwashing, use of alcohol-based sanitizers and wearing masks.
Kerbs says coronavirus is especially dangerous to the residents at Holiday Resort, so resident safety is of critical importance. Family members will be kept updated at least on a weekly basis at this time.
