Lyon County deputies have named the driver involved in Tuesday’s injury crash southwest of Olpe.
Deputies say 70-year-old Clinton Young of rural Lyon County wrecked for currently unknown reasons when his pickup left the road in the 300 block of Road J and hit a tree head-on. It is also unknown if Young was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Deputies continue their investigation.
5 pm Tuesday: Pickup driver hurt in wreck near Olpe
One person crashed near Olpe on Tuesday and went to Newman Regional Health for treatment afterward.
Lyon County Deputy Doug Stump says the driver was southbound in the 300 block of Road J when the wreck happened just before 3:30 pm. The driver went off the road and hit a tree.
Injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Names are pending at this time.
