The Lyon County Highway Department has reopened several roads following heavy rainfall or runoff damage from severe thunderstorm activity Monday.
This includes:
*Road G between Roads 170 & 175
*Road J between Roads 190 & 215
*Road K between Roads 190 & 210
*Road M between Roads 190 & 197
*Rd 170 between Roads F & G
*Rd 190 between Roads L5 & M
*Rd 200 between Roads U & V
*Rd 210 between Roads L & M
*Rd 215 between Roads F5 & J7
The Emporia area had up to 2.5 inches of rain in roughly an hour during one of two rounds of severe storm activity Monday. No flood warning was issued, but the National Weather Service issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for the late morning and early afternoon hours.

The Lyon County Highway Department has closed several roads due to the heavy rainfall or runoff damage from Monday.
The list includes:
*G between 170 and 175
*J between 190 and 215
*K between 190 and 210
*M between 190 and 197
*170 between F and G
*190 between L-5 and M
*200 between U and V
*210 between L and M
*215 between F-5 and J-7
These roads will be barricaded. Drivers are told not to go around the blockages because they face fines from the county and insurance companies won’t cover damages if vehicles get stuck.
