Emporia State mens basketball coach Craig Doty has announced the signing of 4 players for next season. They include 2 graduate transfers, a junior college transfer and a high school senior.
The graduate transfers are Anthony Masinton-Bonner a 6-3 guard from Colorado State. He sat out last season. He did start 37 of 93 games played at Colorado State. He is a Lawrence High graduate and helped lead the Lions to the 2015 6A State Championship game.
Austin Downing a 6-1 guard from Quincy University. He averaged 12.2 points and 4.9 assists in 18 games for the Hawks before an ankle injury ended his season last year. He also played at Neosho Community College and is from Atchinson.
Kong Kong is a 6-6 junior forward transfer Rochester Community & Technical College. He averaged 16.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 32 starts as a sophomore. He is a native of Mankato, Minnesota.
And Tate Oglesby a 6-1 freshman guard from Maryville, Missouri He was a two-sport star for Maryville High School, scoring over 1,000 points on the basketball court.
The 4 join Nick Reid a 6-7 guard out of Central City, Iowa in this years recruiting class.
