Lyon County starts this week with 288 positive coronavirus cases and 334 total cases over the last two months, including probable positives, but better than half the patients have recovered.
Lyon County Public Health says the active case count is at 131, down better than 50 from last Monday. There were no daily situation reports over the weekend.
Two people in Lyon County have died due to coronavirus.
Elsewhere across the KVOE listening area, there are 91 confirmed cases. Coffey County has the most overall cases at 50, but only three cases are currently active. There have been eight deaths.
Wabaunsee County has the most active cases in the area at 18 with 27 total cases.
Chase, Greenwood, Morris and Osage counties have combined for 14 total cases, none of which are active.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has 6,984 confirmed and probable positive cases. KDHE is reporting 157 deaths.
